The Female

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my MP write-up for The Female, a member of the Boys.

MP Sheet

Notes:
1. I put the Female on the Good side, even though she murders people, like almost every protagonist on the show.
2. On the show, her strength is debatable, but she's strong enough to snap a grown man's neck and she also leaps ten plus feet from a crouched position. So, I gave her close to peak human strength.

Frenchie

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my MP write-up for Frenchie, the volatile gun runner of the Boys. Here's a link to a google sheet showing his weapon Arsenal.

MP Sheet
Notes:
1. His Arsenal is 5 CPs over the Ability Cap.
2. I gave him a bit of Wealth because as a gun runner he probably made hundreds of thousands of dollars.
3. Some of his abilities reflect what I've read about his comic character, e.g., his acute sense of smell.

Butcher

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my MP write-up for Butcher, the leader of the Boys. You can see his arsenal write-up here. In Mighty Protectors terms,  Butcher is an experienced agent, and although he is not superhuman, he can still be dangerous. Note that his arsenal slightly exceeds his Ability Cap.

Starlight

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my MP write-up for Starlight, a member of the superhero team the Seven, the world's top superhero team. Before joining the Seven, Starlight fought crime by herself, in her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. She is conservative and religious, and has been shaken to discover that the members of the Seven are essentially evil jerks.

Queen Maeve

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my MP write-up for Queen Maeve, a member of the superhero team the Seven. Where Homelander is sort of an evil Superman, Maeve is the disallusioned and cynical version of Wonder Woman, albeit with no magic lasso or invisible plane.

Queen Maeve is considered the second most powerful member of the Seven, only behind Homelander in terms of raw power. In the comic, she can fly, but in the Amazon show she cannot. In The Boys Amazon showshe has the following abilities: super strength and stamina, nigh-invulnerability, and is an expert at combat. She once killed a person by throwing a pen into their neck from over fifty feet away, which implies that she is highly accurate.

Maeve was once idealistic and a feminine icon, but over the years while working for the evil Vought corporation, she has become disillusioned and cynical. She still has a spark of humanity in her, as evidenced by the scene with the doomed passenger plane, but she ultimately goes along with Homelander's plan to leave the passengers to die. This is why her side is evil and her motivation is a mercenary/servitor for the Vought corporation.

Maeve once dated Homelander but she has also had a sexual relationship with a woman. Like the other long-time members of the Seven, she has become quite wealthy.

The Deep

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my MP write-up for The Deep, a member of the superhero team the Seven. The Deep is not well-respected by the other members of the Seven. After his inappropriate sexual advance on Starlight, he lost even more respect.

Aside from  having gills that allow him to breathe underwater, not much is known about the Deep. Since Starlight says the other members of the Seven, including herself, consider him to be a joke, I built him on fewer CPs than the others.

A-Train

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my MP write-up for A-Train, a member of the superhero team the Seven. It is mentioned in one of the episodes that A-Train can run over 1000 mile per hour and due to his Speed and Super Speed abilities, he can run at 1044 mph in this write-up.

In one episode he is shown slowly pulling a train with perhaps ten other connected train cars, but he doesn't seem to be super-strong like Homelander is. I therefore used Telekinesis, with a lot of modifiers, to simulate how he uses his Speed ability to drag super-heavy things -- like trains.

MP Sheet

Notes:
1. It is never shown but rather inferred that A-Train can run over water.

Translucent

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Updated: 080819
Updated: 080319

Here's my MP write-up for Translucent, a member of the superhero team the Seven. Translucent has two main abilities: invisibility and invulnerability. To model his invulnerability, I've given him Armor, Adaptation, and Invulnerability (to kinetic and energy).

He's strong enough to win a hand to hand fight with Butcher, but not strong enough to break out of a metal cage, so I gave him approximate peak human strength.

Translucent has carbonized skin that is as resilient as diamond. He can't be hurt from the outside - except for a vulnerability to electricity - but should he swallow something, or otherwise have a dangerous object put inside of his body, his invulnerability and armor don't apply.

His invisibility does not apply to clothes or carried items, which results in him being naked most of the time.

MP Sheet

Notes:
1. Translucent is not in the comic, he's a new character with some of Jack from Jupiter's abilities.
2. 080319: I've updated Translucent to show that his invisibility does not cover his clothes or things he carries. Also, I lowered his IN and raised his EN a small amount.
3. 080819: I've updated Translucent by increasing his Armor and also by showing that it is hardened against armor piercing attacks.

Homelander

SPOILER WARNING!
This write-up details the super-abilities of a character from the new Amazon Prime show The Boys.

Here's my Mighty Protectors write-up for Homelander, the leader of the supers group called "The Seven."

I based his stats and abilities on the first eight episodes of the Amazon series "The Boys", although in some cases I had to guess. For example, I don't know exactly how strong he is since it's never stated, although there is a scene in one episode where Queen Maeve asks him to save a plane, so he's at least strong enough to lift a modern passenger jet (approx. 300,000 lbs. fully loaded with fuel and passengers).

MP Sheet

Here's a higher power level version of Homelander:

MP Combat Record Sheet

Here is the combat record sheet that I created years ago for use in my Mighty Protectors games. The sheet is saved as an MS Excel 97-2003 workbook. It automatically generates initiative rolls and can even handle characters with super speed, as shown on the last three lines. A PDF version is also included. Enjoy!

Notes:
1. Excel defaults to auto calculation every time a cell is altered. To stop this, you need to go into its Options/Formulas and switch it from auto calculation to manual calculation (with the default key being F9).
2. The "Init +" column is for the bonus from Heightened Initiative.

Controller

Here is my Mighty Protectors write-up for the Controller, a Marvel comics villain who was created by Archie Goodwin and George Tuska, and who debuted in Iron Man #12 (Apr, 1969). His stats and abilities shown here reflect Iron Man #12, #13, and Captain Marvel #28-#33.

Slave Discs
Basil Sandhurst created the "slave discs", which he places on his victims, usually on the back of their neck or on their forehead. Once attached, the victim becomes a slave of the Controller, who gains a telepathic bond with his victim. The discs also beam mental energy to the Controller, making him stronger and tougher. The more slaves he creates, the stronger he becomes, as shown on the chart below.

I used the Arsenal ability to simulate his slave-discs, which you can see here. By using the "splitting" modifier I was able to divide each slot into 8 sub-slots. With 24 arsenal slots, this effectively gives the Controller 192 slave-discs. In the comics, the Controller boasts of having up to 1000 slaves. That's possible to do by increasing the sub-slots to 64 (giving 1536 discs), but doing so will exceed his Ability cap.

The mental energy received by the Controller from his slaves has a range, and while it is never explicitly stated in the comics, a GM could assume that it is several miles.

Absorbatron

Notes:
1. With the help of Thanos' superior technology, the Controller's slave discs are improved so that they directly beam the victim's mental energy, eliminating the need of the "Absorbatron". However, they still have a range, which if exceeded cuts off the extra ST, EN, and Mental Blast abilities.
2. The Controller must succeed with a HTH attack to place a slave disc on a victim, such as a hero PC. If he takes any hit point damage while doing this, it will fail (due to the  Concentration modifier).

Kree Starship & Kree Soldier

Here are my Mighty Protector write-ups for a Bronze-Age Kree starship and Kree soldier. The vehicle and the soldiers are based upon early Marvel comic books, namely: Marvel Super-Heroes #12-13 and Captain Marvel #1-#16.

Vehicle Sheet

Soldier Sheet

Kree Military Uniforms

Notes:
1. The ship uses the teleportation ability (it opens a gateway) to travel through space. It has enough distance to instantaneously get to the Large Magellanic Cloud (the Kree's home galaxy), which is 158,200 light years from Earth. I extrapolated from the chart in the MP rule book to get the distance for (60) CPs.
2. The ship has Adaptation: Spaceworthy, which is the Adaptation ability and includes: asphyxiation, cold temperatures, low pressure, and radiation.
3. The integral abilities of Automation and Performance (Ht. Agility and Ht. Cool, respectively) were only added to make the total system spaces properly add-up.
4. Female Kree sometimes have abilities the males do not receive, such as Emotion Control and Siphon.
  • Emotion Control: Love, IN sv@-2 (10), CL" range, Single Emotion (-5), Misc: males only (-5), Unobvious (5), PR=1 (5), Total CP cost = (10).
  • Siphon: 2d6 hits (15), Suppress (-5), No Range (0), PR=0, Total CP cost = (10).

Sentry #459

Here is my Mighty Protectors write-up for Sentry #459, a Marvel comics antagonist who was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, debuting in Fantastic Four #64 (July, 1967). The stats and abilities of Sentry #459 reflect Marvel Super Heroes #13 as well as Captain Marvel #1 and #2 (May, 1968).

MP sheet

30-Foot Robot

Invisible Wall

Bullet's Don't Hurt Him
Flight (from Avengers #89)

His Sensors Told Him I am... a Kree

Instantaneous Repair

Notes:
1. In Fantastic Four #64, and in the Unofficial Handbook of the Marvel Universe, Sentry #459 is described as being 15 feet tall. Because it is explicitly shown in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 that he is 30 feet tall, that's what I made him.
2. I invented a (5) CP miscellaneous modifier for the Communicators ability that allows the Sub-Space modifier to work anywhere, not just in space. This is because Sentry #459 is shown communicating on Earth with his Kree masters, who reside in a different galaxy.
3. In other comic books, Sentry #459 is shown as having additional abilities of Flight and Power Blast, which  could be added, if one were so inclined.
4. Sentry #459 often describes himself as being invulnerable. While I did not give him full Invulnerability, it could certainly be added.
5. Shaping represents his ability to create invisible walls which are highly resistant to damage.
