Flying Brick

The Flying Brick may be the most iconic superhero on my list -- and it's next for Mighty Protectors!

The core abilities of the Flying Brick are: Heightened Strength, Armor, Flight, and Power Blast. The lesser abilities include Heightened Endurance and Heightened Senses: "X-ray" vision.

A strong alternative to the armor ability is Invulnerability: all Kinetic damage. This may be more appropriate since the flying brick is usually depicted as being invulnerable to this kind of damage. The downside to this is the fact that there are a lot more damage types than just kinetic.

Suggested weaknesses include: Low Self-Control: Compulsion (not to kill), Nemesis, Personal Problem: Dependent, and Susceptibility.

Flame Hero

Next on my list of iconic superheroes for Mighty Protectors is the Flame Hero!

The flame hero's main abilities include: Flame Blast, Flame Aura, Fiery Flight, and Energy. Lesser abilities include Heightened Expertise and either Absorption or Invulnerability to flame.

Empath

The Empath is the next hero on my list of iconic heroes for Mighty Protectors!

The Empath is an interesting hero, capable of many astounding feats -- including the ability to heal others. The  healing comes with a price, however, as the Empath takes 1 hit point in damage for every hit point she heals. This is offset somewhat by the Empath's ability to quickly regenerate damage.

Demi-God

Next up on my iconic superhero list for Mighty Protectors is the Demi-God!

The Demi-God is an immortal and powerful being who is an expert with unarmed combat, is highly resistant to damage, and is immune to natural diseases and poisons.

Suggested Cultures include: Primitive, Fantasy, or Mixed. Suggested Weaknesses include: Compulsion: loves to fight, Compulsion: loves to carouse or Nemesis (perhaps another immortal being).

Cyborg

Next up on my list of iconic superheroes for Mighty Protectors is the Cyborg!

Heightened agility, an infrared eye, laser targeting & damage amplification, and a laser weapon make up most of the cyborg's abilities. The artificial parts of the cyborg explain the density increase and a modified nervous system explain his heightened initiative ability.

Cat Hero

Next on my list of iconic supers for Mighty Protectors is the Cat Hero!

The cat hero has abilities that include: claws, heightened senses, heightened agility, heightened defense, super leap, and wall-crawling!

Brute

Continuing my posts of iconic superheroes for Mighty Protectors, here is the Brute!

The Brute is the strongest and toughest of all the iconic superheroes on my list, and although he is not very accurate with with his punches, he can always pick up a car or other heavy objects and use it as an area of effect attack!

Because he cannot change his height, I have given him the Distinctive weakness. The other 10 points of weaknesses are left blank.

Brawler

The Brawler is the next character on my list of iconic supers for Mighty Protectors!

A modified skeleton, strong regeneration, a tracking ability, and armor piercing claws are the hallmarks of the Brawler.

Heightened Strength and Agility round out the Brawler's super abilities.

Suggested weaknesses include: Compulsion: Loner and Compulsion: Easily Angered

Blind Hero

Next on my iconic superhero list is the Blind Hero!

The Blind Hero is just that - blind - but he compensates for his blindness with a heightened sense that allows him to detect micro-movements in air pressure in a 360 degree radius.

The Blind Hero is also highly accurate with his fists and his special weapon and capable of inflicting super-heroic levels of damage due to intense training.

Blaster

Next on my list of superhero icons is the Blaster!

The Blaster may be a bit bland, but it is a rock-solid choice, capable of holding its own against stronger foes.

The Blaster can fly, throw up a Force Field, has loads of additional Power and of course accurately wields a potent Power Blast!

Because some blasters can absorb or are immune to the type of damage their power blast generates, there is an option to take Absorption or Invulnerability as the final 10 CP Ability.

Alien Tree

Next up on my iconic superhero list is the Alien Tree!

This lovable alien superhero looks like a ten foot tall tree. Because of its size, I went ahead and gave it the Distinctive weakness. The other weakness I assigned is Uneducated; the alien tree doesn't seem to know much about anything.

The "tree" is not concerned about dying because with its Regenerating ability, it can come back to life!

The "tree" can also generate a wood-like substance which can be useful in blocking up doorways, corridors, or encasing its friends in a protective bubble.

The "tree" can stretch its limbs and has a bit of Plasticity, which combined with its Armor gives it fairly good protection from kinetic attacks.

The "tree" can make the ends of its branches into weapons with its Natural Weaponry ability and its Durability ability makes it even harder to knock out.

Android

Next on my list of iconic superheroes written up for Mighty Protectors is the Android!

The Android can alter his or her density, becoming as hard as iron or intangible, but not both at the same time. This is done in the MP rules with the Multi-Ability modifier.

Due to having a synthetic body, the Android has superhuman Endurance. The Android is also capable of absorbing solar radiation (sunlight) and converting it into a Power Blast. The Android can fly, albeit only when he or she is non-corporeal.

Lastly, the Android does not age, does not eat or excrete, and is highly resistant to poisons and venom due to its artificial body.

Note that the Android's stats reflect its super-dense state.

Suggested weaknesses for the Android include: Distinctive, Unliving and Low Self-Control: Compulsion, Cold and Emotionless personality.

Archer

 Next up on my list of iconic superheroes for Mighty Protectors is the Archer!

The Archer's claim to fame is of course his Bow, with its arsenal of trick arrows! The Archer is a deadly shot, typically only missing the target on a fumbled to hit roll. The Archer is so accurate he or she can pull off Head Shots or Multiple Actions with ease!

The Archer's arsenal includes six types of arrows: sharp-pointed arrows, explosive arrows, grapnel arrows, ice arrows, smoke arrows, and acid arrows. The Archer must select four of the six arrow types to be used each time they go on patrol.

The last 20 CP Ability is a choice between Natural Weaponry, Vehicle, and Wealth -- or a mixture of the three could be chosen.

Amphibian

Next up on my list of iconic superheroes for Mighty Protectors is the Amphibian!

The Amphibian is similar to the Amazon Warrior: both are super strong and wield weapons, but that's where the similarities end.

The Amphibian can breathe water and swim incredibly fast. Also, he has no need for a flying vehicle as he can fly all by himself! Where the Amazon has super agility, the Amphibian has super endurance.

Lastly, the ocean's crushing depths have made the skin of the Amphibian incredibly resistant to damage, especially kinetic types of damage.

For fun, I decided to write-up various "iconic" superheroes for Mighty Protectors. All of these heroes will be recognizable to superhero comic book fans.

First up is the iconic Amazon Warrior and her invisible plane! 

For convenience, the link above is to a copy of the official Mighty Protectors character sheet (stored on Google Sheets). You must click on the tabs to see individual sheets, such as the Character Sheet and the Vehicle Sheet.

All of the background info (birthplace, species, culture, etc.) and the Weaknesses are intentionally left blank: they can be randomly determined, or not, as the GM or player prefers. The sheet is downloadable and editable.
