Sidewinder

Here's my MP write-up for Sidewinder, the original leader of Marvel's evil Serpent Society! This write-up reflects his Bronze Age abilities. Sidewinder first appeared in issue #64 of Marvel Two-In-One (1980) and was created by Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Macchio and George Perez.

Seth Voelker was an economics professor who lost his job and was subsequently hired by the Roxxon Oil corporation as a financial analyst. It was while going through their books that he learned of their illegal activities. Rather than report their crimes he decided that he wanted to experience the thrills of being a criminal, and so joined their ranks of super-villains as Sidewinder!

Roxxon scientists surgically implanted a cybernetic chip within his brain. He was also equipped with a cloak that allowed him to teleport, a suit that allowed him to breath underwater, and four mini-drones (stored within his belt) that could deliver powerful electrical blasts. Because of the chip, he could teleport his body parts with no ill effects.

If Sidewinder is knocked unconscious, his cybernetic chip will randomly teleport his body within line of sight. Due to the continual teleporting, his unconscious body also gains a 9 Physical Defense.

Sidewinder and his team of snake-themed villains did succeed in retrieving the Serpent Crown, which he delivered to company president Hugh Jones, but he soon left Roxxon and formed his own super group, the Serpent Society!
