Luke Cage

Here's my early 70's MP version of Luke Cage, aka Power Man, aka Cage. This write-up basically reflects his stats & abilities as they are portrayed in the Luke Cage, Hero for Hire and Power Man and Iron Fist comic books.

  1. I think Luke Cage has been very well-developed over the years. I first encountered him back in the "Hero for Hire" days of "Power Man & Iron Fist." Those were some great street level comics, with great character development.

I like how you rolled Cage's 450-lb "steel hard skin and muscle" into an SFX of his Armor ability, rather than futz around with Density Increase. Much more elegant this way. (Note, that in the comics, Cage always described himself as "300 lbs.," but the OHOTMU made him 450, and the authors defended it in the "mailbag" section of a later issue, saying they felt the way he had been written over the years justified a 450-lb. weight.)

  2. The thing about burying weight under Armor is that you've essentially given him "Physical Ability (Inertia) +1" for zero points.
